A Big Brother alum has survived to see another episode on the new season of The Floor.
David Alexander from BB21 and BB22 has advanced through another round.
The Floor is a trivia game show that airs on FOX. Rob Lowe serves as host.
The show places 100 contestants on a massive LED grid. Each player has chosen an expert category to defend. This can be anything from Ancient Rome to Marvel movies.
Throughout each episode, the players participate in rapid-fire duels. Each player is given 45 seconds to identify images or events about the challenge category. They rotate until someone runs out of time.
The winning player remains in the game, while the loser is eliminated. Also, the winner takes over the territory the loser had controlled.
From there, the winner can challenge someone who borders their spot on the grid or return to the floor, and someone else is selected to battle.
Controlling the most territory at the end of an episode is rewarded with a $20,000 bonus. And the players are competing for $250,000.
Who is David Alexander from Big Brother?
Big Brother fans met David Alexander during BB21. The season had a Camp Comeback twist, meaning nobody was sent home through the first few weeks. Everyone got a chance to re-enter the game. David was evicted on Day 1, but re-entered on Day 15, and lived in the house until Day 30.
Jackson Michie won BB21, Holly Allen was the runner-up, and Nicole Anthony won America’s Favorite Houseguest.
David returned for Big Brother: All-Stars 2 (BB22). He finished in eighth place on BB22, and he voted for Cody Calafiore to win. Cody was a unanimous winner over Enzo Palumbo. Da’Vonne Rogers won AFH.
Later, David appeared on The Challenge: USA 1. He did pretty well, nearly making it to the money during a season won by Survivor duo Danny McCray and Sarah Lacina.
David Alexander advances on The Floor Season 5
The Floor Season 5 recently debuted, and David competed on each of the first two episodes. As reported by Tea on TV, David’s expert category started as Carbonated Beverages. He won a battle while defending that category. Then he had to defend his inherited category (Sexiest Man Alive), which he also won.
Rather than continue battling on stage, David returned to the floor.
David didn’t have to compete during Episode 3, as various battles happened around him. Nine duels happened. That led to nine additional eliminations.
So David has made it to the final 75 players after surviving the April 15 episode unscathed.
New episodes of The Floor air on Wednesday nights on FOX. Each episode debuts at 9/8c. It means David has to defend his territory again on August 22. Can he do it? Tune in to find out!
Below is a video of one duel that David already won. It was intense.
