A new Big Brother feud has surfaced on social media, and it has been very entertaining for fans.
The reason for the drama wasn’t on our bingo card, either.
The former houseguests are arguing over singer Chris Brown. Yes, the same Chris Brown who was charged with felony assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.
It also reportedly led to one of the Big Brother alums quitting Twitter. Again.
Big Brother alums arguing over support of Chris Brown
For several days, Big Brother 27 winner Ashley Hollis has been posting her support of Chris Brown on social media. She took to Threads, Twitter (now X), and even TikTok. We at Tea on TV were shocked.
Then Leah Peters from Big Brother 26 weighed in on the situation. Was she directly addressing Ashley or just the popular topic online?
“The fact that chris brown still has defenders and Stan’s is mind boggling and out of control. He isn’t a victim to cancel culture, he is an attempted murderer and serial abuser. If he has zero haters I’m simply dead,” Leah wrote on X.
Later, Leah shared another X post on the topic.
“Anyways, being it’s sexual assault awareness month, to all victims and survivors: know that this is and always will be a safe space for you, I love you, I believe you, and I will always defend you and stand beside you. #saam,” she posted.
Ashley returns to Twitter before deleting more posts
Meanwhile, Ashley returned to Twitter. She wasn’t going to let someone else take the Chris Brown spotlight away from her.
“I’m sorry but performative activism when you’ve gotten on social media praising israel and saying the n word is just rich people love to take opportunities to try to insert themselves,” Ashley wrote.
“All this because I said I no longer wanted to be acquainted with you?” Leah asked Ashley on X. “I never praised Israel I ignorantly said I didn’t agree with war period, I apologized. And I tweeted ice cube lyrics when I was 13, and apologized. Get a grip. Log off.”
And got off X, she did. But not before another tweet.
“Leah we were never friends. I’ve side eyed you since the Chelsie situation, I just didn’t want drama with you and like to be kind to folks. I’ve seen the messages of you saying you loved Chelsie then 7 days later bash Chelsie online. No I never trusted you I just didn’t want beef,” she posted.
Ashley is referring to Big Brother 26 winner, Chelsie Baham. But she has since deleted those posts, leaving only a trail of Big Brother fans bashing her online. Many of which questioned everything she posted.
“Girl she’s crazy [Ashley]. she literally told on herself,” a fan wrote to Leah. “That tweet wasn’t even about her, I’ve literally been seeing the Chris Brown discourse in different fandoms. She literally inserted herself bc her weird fans are telling her your tweet was about her and she ran with it,”
Things quieted down between Ashley and Leah after Ashley deleted her tweets and closed her account (again).
