The Traitors returns for a new season on NBC this fall. Its season premiere arrives on September 17.
Typically, The Traitors streams on Peacock, but NBC wanted in on the action.
New episodes arrive each Thursday night this fall, with NBC dropping two episodes on the first night.
Ahead of the new season, host Alan Cumming shared his favorite players from the first four seasons.
Many Big Brother alums have played on The Traitors
Four celebrity seasons of The Traitors have already aired (the first season was half celebrities and half regular folks).
During that time, ten Big Brother alums have competed. Technically, one of them has won the show, though several of them have been Traitors. Alan Cumming put one of them (technically) on his list of the greatest players.
Here’s the list:
- Rachel Reilly (Season 1)
- Cody Calafiore (Season 1)
- Cirie Fields (Season 1) *She played Big Brother AFTER she appeared on The Traitors*
- Janelle Pierzina (Season 2)
- Dan Gheesling (Season 2)
- Derrick Levasseur (Season 3)
- Danielle Reyes (Season 3)
- Britney Haynes (Season 3)
- Ian Terry (Season 4)
- Tiffany Mitchell (Season 4)
Maybe the next season that features reality TV folks will have a Big Brother alum who can go the distance.
Survivor legends have also played on The Traitors
Over the years, 11 former castaways have also appeared on The Traitors. Some Survivor alums have controlled the castle, and one of them even won.
Here’s the list of who appeared on the first four seasons of The Traitors US:
- Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick (Season 1)
- Cirie Fields (Season 1)
- Parvati Shallow (Season 2)
- Sandra Diaz-Twine (Season 2)
- Tony Vlachos (Season 3)
- Jeremy Collins (Season 3)
- Rob Mariano (Season 3)
- Carolyn Wiger (Season 3)
- Rob Cesternino (Season 4)
- Yam Yam Arocho (Season 4)
- Natalie Anderson (Season 4)
Who are the favorite players of Traitors host Alan Cumming?
In a fun new article from EW, Traitors host Alan Cumming shares his seven favorite players from the show. He also teases that one of them comes from the new season. We have a lot to look forward to!
Here are Alan’s favorites:
- Rob Rausch (Season 4) – “I think [Rob] is the best player ever we’ve ever had. Also, I would like to preface this by saying that when he started, I thought he was a little s***. It was a cold summer night, and we were all arriving and he had on like hardly anything and he was freezing,” Alan stated.
- Cirie Fields (Season 1) – “The thing that’s amazing about Cirie’s win is that there was no precedent. It was the first season of the game, so nobody knew what to expect. She played a brilliant game, and nobody suspected her, and she was always so reasonable and calm,” Alan noted.
- Phaedra Parks (Season 2) – “She had this analytical, lawyerly form of analysis and attack that was so mesmerizing and blinding. And also, absolute zingers. Such great one-liners,” Alan said.
- Michael Davidson (Season 1) – “He’s a huge reality show fan, so his mind was blown by the fact he was in this room with all these famous people. And so that was endearing,” Alan said about the civilian from the first season.
- John Bercow (Season 2) – “He’s one of these people that lasted much longer than I feel anyone expected, including himself. He didn’t fit in, but he talked so much that they all just were furious with him and they called him Parliament John,” Alan joked.
- Carolyn Wiger (Season 3) – “She’s got all these amazing tats. She’s really beautiful in a sort of biker girl way. There’s just so much going on,” Alan noted about the Survivor legend.
- A Mysterious Season 5 player – “The seventh person on my list, I can’t tell you who it is because they are in this season that we’re about to premiere — the civilian season,” Alan stated about a devious new player.
