Our new Big Brother recap comes from Sunday night, when CBS viewers learned who became the new Head of Household.
As a reminder, Drew was HOH last week, and Devens became the secret target in the house. But Devens won the BB Blockbuster Challenge to gain safety, and La Trice was voted out.
Only eight people remained as the new episode began. Drew had to watch as everyone else competed for power.
Would the reality TV icons regain their power? Or would someone take another shot at the trio? Let’s get into it!
Big Brother 28, Episode 30 recap from September 6
“Pretty stoked that Lala went home,” Drew stated in a Diary Room session.
Devens spoke about how “wild” he felt things would get that evening.
There was a lull between the La Trice eviction and when they played for HOH, so the hamsters had lots of time to chat.
Dee worried about the “vibe” between Devens, Drew, and Barrett.
Taylor cried about coming so close to beating Devens. She had the lead in the BB Blockbuster before Devens won it.
A rogue vote then became contentious. Melody had voted against Taylor, but she tried to hide it.
This led people to lash out at whoever made the rogue vote. It caused distrust among the icons.
Who won the Head of Household Competition on Big Brother 28?
The challenge had the players rolling colored balls down a course with matching colors. The first person to land their seven balls in the matching color zones would become the new Head of Household.
Barrett won the difficult HOH Comp. Later, he said everyone made a “huge mistake” letting him get power.
“Take the shot, big dog,” Yash said to Barrett in the Diary Room.
Barrett told Drew he had no idea what he was going to do, but that he and Melody were safe.
“I’m trying to make a big move, and maybe have a little fun while I’m at it,” Barrett said in the DR.
Barrett was honest with Devens, telling him he would not be “Crossover strong” with his nominations.
Barrett also told Devens he was safe.
Angela told Devens she was upset that he volunteered for the block last week. It was a weird conversation.
Later, Angela went to Barrett with her worries. That’s when Barrett told her that he might nominate her this week.
Barrett also told her that he was considering nominating all the icons. Angela cried a lot and spoke about being betrayed.
Dee got really mad when Angela shared that chat with her.
The BB Bribe gets used as a weapon
Drew told Dee it was time to tell everyone about the BB Bribe. It was a tactic to get people to turn on Yash. Devens said he wanted to throw “Yash under the bus” to help their cause.
They called a fake meeting in the HOH Room, where Devens told Barrett that Yash was protecting the icons. Yash was caught off guard, but the plan also backfired. Taylor felt the icons bullied Yash into taking the bribe.
Barrett also learned that Dee had lied to him about the BB Bribe. He was upset that they didn’t get him safety in the bribe. The icons then lied about Barrett trying to vote out Taylor.
Who did Barrett nominate for eviction?
Barrett made his big move. He nominated Dee, Devens, and Angela. The icons are now all on the block.
Here is a link to spoilers about the Power of Veto winner. It creates some interesting scenarios this week.
