Many Big Brother showmances have developed during the newest era of gameplay, but not every relationship is built to last. Here’s a look at the showmances that have developed since All-Stars 2 (BB22).
It’s worth noting that a showmance also developed on Big Brother 22. Houseguests Christmas Abbott and Memphis Garrett began dating soon after the season ended, and they even got married. Memphis and Christmas have since separated.
New era Big Brother showmances and where they stand
Big Brother 23 was a season dominated by The Cookout. The alliance controlled much of the season, but a showmance developed in the jury house. Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss took their feelings into the real world and became an entertaining couple on social media.
Derek and Claire even won a season of The Amazing Race, becoming the first Big Brother alums to find success since Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf from BB19 did it.
Unfortunately, Claire and Derek have recently gone their separate ways.
On Big Brother 24, Alyssa Snider and Kyle Capener had a showmance, but it was short-lived. Another showmance happened between Taylor Hale and Monte Taylor, but that one also fizzled out after Taylor won BB24.
After BB24, Taylor dated fellow houseguest Joseph Abdin, but they decided they were better off as good friends. Recently, Taylor was also linked to Kyland Young from BB23, and the pair went on The Amazing Race together, but they don’t seem to be an item any longer.
Big Brother 25 and 26
The Big Brother 25 cast yielded two prominent showmances throughout the season. The first was Jared Fields and Blue Kim, and the more notable one was America Lopez and Cory Wurtenberger.
Another showmance almost happened between Reilly Smedley and Matt Klotz, but it didn’t work out after the season ended.
Jared, the son of fellow player and Survivor legend Cirie Fields, was a very messy player. The Jared and Blue showmance crashed as the season came to a close.
The story for Cory and America is a much better one. Cory and America are still together and enjoying life. Cory went back to finish college after BB25, and America moved near him as he finished up. Now, they live together, and this is a duo that would be fun to watch on a future Amazing Race season.
Big Brother 26 also yielded two showmances. Tucker des Lauriers and Rubina Bernabe were hot and heavy, but their relationship seemed strained by long-distance issues. They are no longer together.
Matt Hardeman and Makensy Manbeck had a spark, but had to wait after Matt was the first person sent home on BB26. They began dating shortly after the season ended, but recently broke up.
Big Brother 27 showmances?
The latest Big Brother season also had some intriguing relationships. Morgan Pope and Vince Panaro grew close, but some fans might not call it a showmance. Vince had a girlfriend when he entered the house, and Kelsey recently shared a video about the rumors.
Will Vince and Morgan be a thing outside of the Big Brother house? That’s unknown for now.
Elsewhere, Katherine Woodman and Rylie Jeffries also started up a showmance. The duo is dating now and appears very happy in their joint social media shares.
Additionally, it appears that Zach Cornell and Lauren Domingue are dating. The fun BB27 houseguests have been hanging out together a lot since the season ended, and a showmance may be brewing.
