Big Brother 27 sent home its first houseguest on Thursday night. However, it then shifted to action, with the remaining 16 players battling for power late into the night. Unfortunately, the Head of Household Competitions are no longer part of the Thursday night episodes, but at least the results are revealed on the live feeds. And those results are pretty dramatic.
Vince had to watch everyone else compete after Zae was sent home. Zae met with Julie, where he spoke about his short stint in the Big Brother house. Earlier in the week, Zae had been pretty upset with Rachel Reilly, whom he was working to get sent home next. But he was evicted before he could challenge the “queen,” and she might find safety again in Week 2.
Jimmy won the HOH Competition late Thursday night. He gains the power and gets to name three people for eviction. This is huge for anyone aligned with Jimmy, but bad for people who might have wanted to shake things up. It sounds like there were possibly powers awarded at the new challenge as well, and that it might create excitement later on.
Who will Jimmy nominate for eviction?
Jimmy may nominate Keanu, Kelley, and Adrian. Those are three people who have come up in chats. Everyone is now well aware of the drama between Jimmy and Keanu, and this might be a way for him to cut out the drama before it derails his game. But what if Keanu wins the Power of Veto or the BB Blockbuster? Stay tuned!
New Have-Nots for Week 2
Rachel, Amy, and Mickey are the Week 2 Have-Nots. This is the second consecutive week Rachel has been a Have-Not, forcing her to endure that uncomfortable room and slop again. At least her buddy Amy will be there to keep her company, giving them time to scheme some more.
Special powers unleashed on Big Brother 27?
Three powers were reportedly unleashed on the Big Brother house based on the HOH Competition. Mickey says she now has the power to dethrone an HOH if she doesn’t like the noms. But she told Morgan that the HOH can question everyone for three minutes, and if they guess who holds the power, it becomes void.
Keanu and Kelley also have powers. The rules for them are murky based on what was revealed on the feeds. Keanu said he gets a second chance to win the Power of Veto if he is on the block (and provided he doesn’t win the POV the first time around). That second chance means an alum will enter the house as a player in the Veto Competition (representing Keanu). Kelley said that she can earn a Veto Necklace by winning a separate competition. That could be huge.
Take the details of these powers with a grain of salt, because there is no guarantee the houseguests with them are being honest on the live feeds. But this could certainly shake up the Game in Week 2. Now we wait for Jimmy to host the Week 2 Nomination Ceremony later on Friday (July 18).
What do you think about Jimmy being the new HOH? Are you excited about the drama that could come? And who do you want to go home during Week 2?
