Chicago Fire will soon give Joe Cruz some more power (again).
A fan-favorite at Firehouse 51, Cruz is currently part of Rescue Squad 3.
Over the years, viewers have seen Joe Miñoso’s character grow as a firefighter and a leader.
We have also seen him step in as an acting lieutenant for Squad and on Engine 51. Now we get to see him do it again.
As you may also recall, Cruz opted not to pursue a full promotion yet. That could all change if he gets really comfortable in a leadership role.
Teasers for Chicago Fire Season 14, Episode 12
During the February 4 episode (Chicago Fire Season 14, Episode 12), we will see Joe Cruz step up.
Actor Joe Miñoso spoke about the big night in a recent interview.
“You’re getting to see his growth as a leader and just how capable he is,” Miñoso told TV Insider. “It was great to take on that responsibility and reveal how much Cruz has changed over the course of 14 seasons.”
“As a fan of the character, I’m so proud of him. I am proud of what the writers have put him [through] and how he’s now this capable, strong family man that everyone has learned to be able to rely on. To be able to play that is such a joy, especially as a Latin man today,” he added during the interview.
Buckle up because there is some big drama coming on February 4.
“Pascal finds himself under intense scrutiny when a member of the firehouse is injured on a call; Herrmann grapples with family issues,” reads the episode synopsis.
Below is a promo for that new episode. We get a glimpse of what goes wrong. Hopefully, everyone survives!
“Whenever a firefighter gets hurt on a serious call like that, they’ll always bring in the Chief to ask if there is something they have done incorrectly. It’s quite normal, but I think you will see that he finds himself in some hot water as well,” the veteran actor teased about what’s coming.
More news from the One Chicago shows
A long hiatus is about to begin for One Chicago. It means no new episodes of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. for a while.
It was recently revealed that a main character is leaving Chicago Fire. This will really shake things up during the remaining episodes of the current season.
Here are details about the huge One Chicago crossover. One night will be dedicated to the shows sharing the same central storyline.
