Chicago Med Season 12 debuts soon on NBC.
The hit Wednesday night show returns with a flurry of new episodes.
As always, we highly recommend watching the previous season’s finale first.
The Chicago Med Season 11 finale is streaming on Peacock.
When does Chicago Med begin Season 12?
Chicago Med returns on Wednesday, October 7. The hit show remains in its 8/7c time slot.
New seasons of Fire and P.D. also remain on Wednesday nights.
Chicago Med Season 12, Episode 1 synopsis
“Gunshots at a wedding lead to chaos in the E.D.; Goodwin defends herself under threat of being fired; Hannah makes a decision while on maternity leave,” reads the full October 7 synopsis.
The episode has much to cover, with Dr. Hannah Asher likely struggling with being away from work to tend to her new baby. The father is Dr. Dean Archer, for anyone who forgot.
Sharon Goodwin’s job is in jeopardy, but when is it not on this show? It certainly seems like a thread to pull if the actress ever wants to leave.
A look back at the Med season finale from spring
During the spring finale, Dr. Lenox came clean about testing positive for GSS (finally). She had kept that secret from Dr. Ripley as their relationship developed.

In another shared scene, we see Archer and Asher after their baby was born. Do you remember whether or not they professed their love for one another? Re-watch this video clip for a refresher:
