LaRoyce Hawkins is leaving Chicago P.D. One of the few remaining actors from the first season, Hawkins has reached the end of his time on the show.
This is very sad news. The show won’t be the same without Officer Kevin Atwater. Even so, the groundwork began last season for Atwater to leave Chicago. He is about to become a father.
As a reminder, Atwater is in a relationship with Officer Tasha Fox (played by Karen Obilom). She left for Miami, but returned when she found out she was pregnant. Since then, the duo has reconnected.
This has opened the door for Fox to return to Chicago, or for Atwater to move to Miami. There are also additional scenarios in between that could work on the show.

Hawkins is reportedly leaving Chicago P.D. early in the new season. It’s a secret how his character will depart the show, but we should learn more in the fall.
Variety confirmed the news – though this had been rumored for several years. Routinely, social media would share a rumor that Hawkins was leaving the Chicago P.D. cast. But he kept coming back.
We look forward to hearing from Hawkins and what the future has in store for him. Outside of One Chicago, he was recently seen in the Marvel show Ironheart. We also saw him on Power Book IV: Force and Ballers.
The Chicago P.D. cast still retains Jason Beghe, Patrick John Flueger, Marina Squerciati, Benjamin Levy Aguilar, Amy Morton, and Arienne Mandi.
