The Survivor 50 season premiere is drawing near, and CBS has released more information about the big night.

In addition, CBS plans to help celebrate Survivor’s history leading up to the Season 50 debut.

As many fans already know, the cast features 24 returning players. Many folks come from the New Era seasons, but there are also some Old School players.

The odds are also good that Season 50 will lead to a first-time winner. But will they be considered among the greats of the game?

Recently, host Jeff Probst named his Mount Rushmore of Survivor players, sparking a lot of debate among fans.

When is the Survivor 50 season premiere – what will it entail?

The Survivor 50 season premiere airs on Wednesday, February 25.

It’s a big night for the network, and it comes after the 2026 Winter Olympics have closed (airing on NBC).

CBS also announced that the premiere is three hours. It all begins at 8/7c, and it is event television in primetime.

Yes, that’s three hours on premiere night to reintroduce the 24 returning players and dive into the game. As a reminder, this is another 26-day season, and the action will come quickly and ferociously. Be ready for some twists.

For fans missing Survivor during the winter hiatus, this will be a nice treat. But that’s not all.

In the weeks leading up to the big premiere, CBS is rolling out content to help viewers.

Primetime viewing on CBS will be packed with older Survivor episodes through most of February. The network is doing this as counterprogramming to the Olympics and to give people a refresher on the Survivor 50 cast members.
