Jason Beghe is leaving Chicago P.D. in new rumors

Chicago P.D. online rumors and false Google AI reports have confused some fans. Many people are convinced that Jason Beghe is leaving.

Beghe has played Hank Voight since the beginning of Chicago P.D. In fact, he first appeared as the character on Chicago Fire.

When the spin-off show got the green light, Beghe became one of the stars alongside Jesse Lee Soffer as Jay Halstead, Elias Koteas as Alvin Olinksy, Jon Seda as Antonio Dawson, Amy Morton as Trudy Platt, and Sophia Bush as Erin Lindsay.

Years later, the Chicago P.D. cast is now led by Patrick Fleuger as Adam Ruzek, Marina Squerciati as Kim Burgess, LaRoyce Hawkins as Kevin Atwater, and Benjamin Levy Aguilar as Dante Torres. Even though some of those people were also on the show from the beginning, they have carved out much larger roles for themselves in the 13 seasons.

Online rumors convince fans that Jason Beghe is leaving Chicago P.D.

Many Chicago P.D. fans are pushing the false rumor that Jason Beghe is leaving Chicago P.D. But it’s not entirely their fault. No, the actor has not made an announcement. But that hasn’t stopped false information from infiltrating Google’s Artificial Intelligence.

According to the Google AI Overview, “Yes, Jason Beghe confirmed he is leaving Chicago P.D. after its final season (Season 13), with his character Hank Voight having an emotional exit storyline that concluded in late 2025/early 2026, marking a major shake-up for the show as it continues with new leadership.”

It goes on to say that the news was confirmed because “Beghe announced his departure, stating it was time to say goodbye after a long run.”

Does Google know something we don’t know? Is the AI looking into the future? Maybe. But Beghe hasn’t even hinted that he is done with the show, and based on how it works, Voight is a cornerstone character.

People leave shows all the time, so it’s definitely possible Jason Beghe will retire Hank Voight at some point. But not yet.

Is Jason Beghe leaving Chicago P.D.? No. Has Chicago P.D. been canceled? No.
