Kendra Caldwell is in deep with the Duggar family.
She has seen how the family weathered scandals during Josh Duggar’s arrest, trial, and subsequent conviction on CSAM charges.
Two weeks ago, she found herself in a similar situation with her husband, Joseph Duggar. This time, though, it was lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older.
That arrest triggered an investigation. It then led to Kendra and Joseph both being charged. Both are facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a child and four counts of false imprisonment, one for each child the couple shares.
The Duggar daughter-in-law was bonded out shortly after her arrest by none other than Michelle Duggar.
Her connection to Joseph’s family goes beyond anything else with her family. It is eerily similar to what happened with Anna Duggar.
Kendra Caldwell is staying with the Duggars
Since Kendra Caldwell was released from custody, she is believed to be staying with Joy Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth. There have been clues about her whereabouts. One clue hinted that she would be staying in a home with three minor children.
Joy and Austin have three children at home. There was also talk about Katelyn (Katey) Nakatsu spending time with her and Jessa Duggar visiting her. All of it points to her staying with a Duggar family member.
Instead of turning to her family and bringing her children back home, Kendra has been telling Joseph Duggar how terrible things have been. This happened through various phone calls released to the public.
She is beside herself over what has happened in her life. She can barely eat and doesn’t have the strength to walk. However, she has the Duggars’ support behind her, and they are likely cheering her on to stick it out with Joseph.
It doesn’t look like she plans to walk away from her marriage or the family support the Duggars have provided.
Joseph Duggar is facing serious jail time
Joseph Duggar could be put behind bars for quite a long time if he is convicted of the charges he is facing in Florida.
His hearing occurred on March 31 in Bay County, and he was bailed out shortly after. He and Jim Bob Duggar were spotted at the airport, likely heading back to Arkansas until his next court date.
An example was made of his older brother, Josh Duggar. There is no reason to believe things in Florida won’t be equally as hard. The charges Joseph is facing could potentially lead to a life sentence.
Kendra Caldwell will have to make big decisions if her husband goes away for several years. She will be left raising four children on her own, and there is speculation that she may be expecting her fifth child.
As long as the Duggars continue to support her and make her promises of being taken care of, she will likely remain with Joseph. She got a firsthand look at how they supported Anna Duggar as Josh dealt with his legal issues, and it’s likely her family could not provide her the same support.
