Big Brother 28 airs its first eviction episode on the same night as a new speech from President Donald Trump.
Many television viewers worry that the speech could interrupt primetime shows. The good news is that there might be no need to worry.
As a reminder, the first week of gameplay is wrapping up on Thursday, July 16. Someone is going home, and someone else will become the new Head of Household.

When is President Trump’s new speech?
Trump’s “Speech to the Nation” will air at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 16. Most major networks are expected to carry the speech in primetime.
As it stands, Big Brother 28, Episode 4 debuts at 8/7c that evening.
This means the new Big Brother episode should air in its entirety for CT and ET viewers before Trump’s speech begins.
The speech should also end before Big Brother airs for MT and PT viewers.
As TV schedules and speech times can change, we can’t guarantee that the speech won’t impact the new Big Brother episode, but it looks like the times work out nicely for most viewers.
Later that evening, the Live Feeds will return, and fans can learn who wins the latest Head of Household Competition.
If the speech does impact the episode, it will be available for streaming on Paramount+ later.
What to expect during the July 16 Big Brother 28 episode
Three people are on the block as the July 16 episode arrives. The trio will compete in the first BB Blockbuster Challenge of the summer. Someone will win safety, and the other two players remain on the block.
Houseguests will then vote to evict one of the final two nominees, sending them packing on Day 10 of the new season.
