Seattle Mariners fan and sports anchor is dominating Jeopardy!

Seattle Mariners fans have someone to cheer on this week. No, it’s not the Mariners. The Toronto Blue Jays eliminated them in the American League Championship Series. But a Mariners fan is dominating on Jeopardy!, giving local viewers someone to cheer on.

FOX 13 Sports Director Aaron Levine is already on a nice run, winning his first three nights on the popular game show. He made it look easy on Wednesday night (October 29), pushing his commanding lead even further in Double Jeopardy! and icing the win with a correct response in Final Jeopardy!.

Aaron Levine is doing well on Jeopardy!

The run began on Monday, October 26, when Aaron Levine faced returning champion and management consultant Shaan Mishra. His third opponent was marketing director Morgan Walker.

Levine raced out to a good start and continued that trend deep into the game. When the dust had settled, Levine secured $20,600 for the day, easily beating Mishra ($3,000) and Walker ($2,000).

Tuesday was more difficult as Levine tried to defend his own title. But win he did, securing a day’s winnings of $8,399 to beat peanut butter artisan Alan Turner ($3,000) and Olympic bobsledder Cynthia Appiah ($2,000).

On Wednesday night, Levine again had a nice first round, distancing himself in the second round with a barrage of correct answers. But then a pivotal moment of the game arrived when challenger Eli Bondar found a Daily Double and had a chance to take the lead when he bet all of his money on the one clue. Bondar gave an incorrect response, emptied his bank, and provided Levine with a stress-free Final Jeopardy!

Levine won $20,000 on Day 3. His three-day winnings now total $48,999. Katie Mantoan finished as the runner-up on Day 3 with $3,000, and Bondar was in third place with $2,000.

When will Aaron Levine be on Jeopardy! again?

Can he extend the streak?

It’s been an impressive run for the local sports reporter, and he looks to continue that streak during a new episode on Thursday, October 30.

On the Thursday night episode, Levine must defend his title against Jewish engagement educator Elana Beame from Boca Raton, Florida, and pastor Christopher Tillman from Plover, Wisconsin.

KOMO (channel 4) carries episodes for the Seattle area on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. PT. For everyone else, check your daily television listing for the nightly episodes.
