The Survivor 49 season finale is coming up quickly, and this should be a good one. Several players have what it takes to become the Sole Survivor this year.
Fans are divided on who most deserves to win this season, but that should make the final episodes even more interesting.
Even though Survivor 49 has seemed, at times, like filler until Survivor 50 arrives this winter and spring, some big game moves are making the gameplay very exciting.
For those fans looking ahead, two people from this season appear on the Survivor 50 cast. That might be a spoiler about who makes it to the end of this season, but it also reflects some exciting game moves.
When is the Survivor 49 season finale?
The Survivor 49 season finale is on Wednesday, December 17. New episodes are also slated for December 3 and 10, helping take the final seven players down to the final five.
Get ready for the familiar three-hour event, beginning with two hours of gameplay, and leading into the third-hour party in Fiji. No, we still don’t get a live Reunion Show. Unfortunately, that still isn’t a part of the new format.
Hopefully, a Survivor 50 Live Reunion Show is on the way this spring. Fans got to vote on it, meaning the producers may bring it back. Stay tuned for more on that later.
More details about the Survivor 49 season finale
As a reminder, a $1 million cash prize is on the line. Someone leaves Fiji with that prize, and the vote has already been made. The season was filmed this past spring/summer, including the pizza party on finale night.
The jury consists of eight people who will vote on a winner from the final three players. Are we heading toward a split jury? That could make the final Tribal Council even more dramatic.
For one final reminder, the season finale arrives on Wednesday, December 17, at 8/7c on CBS. All previous episodes from this season are streaming on Paramount+.
