Survivor 50 castaway Jenna Lewis-Dougherty is speaking out about her time on the show.
Her time was short, but Jenna feels she was negatively affected by other players’ pre-gaming.
Jenna was on the first season of Survivor, and then she returned for All-Stars. But all of that was 42 seasons ago.
As such, Jenna hasn’t played with the new generation of players, which likely affected how long she survived.
Seeing her go home at the first Tribal Council wasn’t too surprising, as she was fighting an uphill battle against Cirie Fields. Not many people have succeeded at that on Survivor. And Jenna claims most of that was “manufactured” by other people in the tribe, primarily Christian Hubicki, so that she wouldn’t form an “Old School” alliance with Ciri and Ozzy Lusth.
Jenna addresses Survivor 50 pre-gaming
A new exit interview from Jenna sheds additional light on her situation.
“So I was playing no harder than anyone else, but on my tribe there were definitely groups that had a lot of pregame connections that I felt like the second I landed, it was off and I was like, ‘Ugh!'” Jenna told EW.
“I kept trying to find an in, and Christian felt like he was a little bit of an in. And it’s funny ’cause it was actually Christian who brought Cirie’s name up first. So it’s kind of funny that he went and told Cirie, or actually sent Rick Devens, his little beyotch, to go tell Cirie. So Christian has got a lot more hands in this game than people are gonna think,” Jenna added.
She felt set up as discussions of the first elimination surfaced. Jenna also stated that this early in a season full of returners, people are falling back into their pre-gaming alliances rather than reacting to what might have happened at a challenge (Cirie Fields blowing it for her team).
“So it was also the grouping. You’ve not only got Ozzy and Cirie, but in one of the pregame interviews, Christian was talking about how he considered Emily outside of the game a really good friend. Those were his words,” Jenna added about the pre-gaming.
“That must be nice to go out into a social game with a really good friend — to have one person, even like Ozzie and Cirie had, and like Christian and Emily had. And I think Devens too. I think that’s a whole manufactured thing with those three from the get-go before the game ever started,” she elaborated.

Savannah Louie was also worried about pre-gaming this season. The Survivor 49 winner has her own plan to deal with it, and thus far, it has worked.
After the season premiere, Jenna hilariously devoured “therapeutic” cake with her hands. She shared the video online.
As a reminder, Survivor 50 episodes air Wednesday nights at 8/7c on CBS. Previous episodes are available for streaming on Paramount+.
