Survivor 50 laid out some chaos at the end of Episode 2. The Cila Tribe had to go to Tribal Council again, prompting many fans to ask questions.
Earlier in the episode, Christian Hubicki found the Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol. This new wrinkle to the game forced the finder to send a Hidden Immunity Idol to another tribe.
If that other person gets voted out, then the Boomerang Idol returns to the original owner. It required the finder to try to think several moves ahead.
With the Boomerang Idol, Christian could try to protect someone in the other tribe. Or he could give it to someone he felt was in danger. Christian sent the Boomerang Idol to Aubry Bracco.
Later, Christian shared what had happened with Rick Devens. Rick had a new plan. He wanted to sew chaos.
What did Rick Devens do at Tribal Council on Survivor 50, Episode 2?
Before the Tribal Council, Rick got the Immunity Idol parchment paper from Christian. He insinuated that he then constructed a fake Idol and wrapped it all up.
At the end of the Tribal Council on Episode 2, the Cila Tribe got up to leave. Christian then faked a fall to draw his tribe’s attention.
While he was down, Rick took that moment to take the parchment from his backpack and hide it under rocks near the Tribal Council seating area. Even though it was hidden, Rick left it visible enough that someone would easily spot it soon.
Now, someone can pull it out at a future Tribal Council. It’s possible that Rick or Christian could do it themselves to cause more chaos. It’s also possible that someone else could stumble upon it. This could all lead to some delicious television.
Introducing a Fake Immunity Idol on Day 6 was pretty diabolical, especially if someone other than Rick or Christian finds it. Would the producers or host Jeff Probst intervene? We shall see. They aren’t doing the On Fire podcast this year to explain everything.
What we do know is that a big moment is coming in Episode 3.
