Survivor 51 promo: Is that a Tribe Swap being teased?

Survivor returns for a new episode Wednesday night; served with a side of chaos.

This is Season 51, Episode 4, and it debuts on October 14 (That’s the Magic of Survivor).

As a reminder, the last episode was packed with drama.

Early in that episode, Rob Antonson quit. He claims he didn’t actually quit, but the fans disagree.

Later, Patt Cannaday was blindsided at Tribal Council.

Because of how Rob left the show, most of the online chatter was about him. But voting out Patt has created ripples.

Danny Kilby was in the host seat. But he somehow flipped things. Is he next? Or does he have a path to safety?

Survivor 51, Episode 4 synopsis

“In a Tale of Two Tribes, one tribe feels torn apart in the aftermath of a divisive vote-out, while another tribe basks in unity, until an unexpected summoning changes everything. Then, old wounds and previous alliances are put to the test at Tribal Council,” reads the full synopsis for the October 14 episode.

Interestingly, they capitalized those specific words, even though the episode is actually called That’s the Magic of Survivor.

If you still need to catch up, the three previous episodes are streaming on Paramount+.

Promo for the October 14 episode

A quick preview for the next episode is shared below.

“A boat awaits for everyone,” a castaway reads from a piece of Tree Mail.

We then see some new player introductions happening. What does it all mean? Is it time for a tribe swap?

Within the promo, we spotted three different colored buffs. There are now reddish ones, whereas Savu was Purple and Toka was yellow before.

Seventeen people remain in the game. That doesn’t split into three tribes very easily. Could two people go to Exile Island? Or could one tribe be short a person after Rob unexpectedly quit?

Tune in Wednesday night at 8/7c to see what happens next. A new episode of The Amazing Race follows it at 9:30/8:30c.
