Survivor quitter Rob Antonson is pretty upset that people are saying he quit.
Rob quit during Survivor 51, Episode 3. He shared worries about a cut and an infection the doctors couldn’t find.
Even though the Survivor staff told him he could stay in the game and was in no danger, he opted to leave.
Giving up on a chance to play on the show didn’t sit well with many fans.
Meanwhile, Rob has become very defensive about why he quit.

“The amount of people who are crying right now over someone leaving or ‘quitting’ a show is alarming! You people are crying over a TV show!? a game!? Some weird a** energy right there, soft a** society,” Rob posted on Instagram.
“Brady chops part of his thumb off and Kristin breaks her foot, but the invisible paper cut takes someone out 😂,” a fan immediately hit back.
“Calling people soft while quitting over a paper cut is top tier trolling. 🫡,” someone else joked.
“Nah what’s soft is leaving over a f****** paper cut after tribal didn’t go your way. When you have people on the same season breaking their foot and lobbing off a third of their thumb BEGGING to stay in the game,” someone else wrote.
Indeed, many people have shared good reasons for quitting the show or being removed from the game. But that’s not the case with Rob.
In numerous exit interviews, Rob has said he didn’t quit. He also doubled down on leaving the game due to a medical situation. Rob even stated that he hid the infection from the medical staff, even as he tried to exit the game.
Rob’s tribe was equally doubtful that Rob left the show for a medical situation.
So is Rob telling the truth when he says he feared for his health and hid an infection so that it wouldn’t be treated? The story falls apart when you really think about it.
One thing is clear: Rob doesn’t have the “dog” in him to survive hardships on a show like Survivor. And that’s okay. Not everyone does.
