Survivor 52 has already begun filming, allowing some small details to leak from Fiji.
It’s always exciting to hear about the new seasons, especially because it guarantees the show still has legs.
We recently saw Aubry Bracco win Survivor 50, with Jonathan Young finishing as the runner-up and Joe Hunter taking third place.
But even as the season finale was airing on CBS, the producers were already back to work on new seasons.
As previously reported by Tea on TV, Survivor 51 has finished filming its episodes. That new season will arrive in the fall on CBS. Here’s a link to everything you would want to know about the new season.
Survivor 52 has begun filming
“BREAKING 🚨 Survivor season 52 has started filming in Fiji! In 26 days time we will have another winner crowned! #Survivor50 #Survivor #RealityTV #TheTribeHasSpoken #news” reads a new Instagram post.
The site also states that it is a cast entirely made of new players.
Many social media users were shocked by the news, especially since Season 50 just finished airing on TV.
But Season 50 was filmed last June, and it took a while for the episodes to reach the CBS viewership.
A small spoiler about Survivor 52
It appears that the new season returns to the three-tribe format. This is what fans have become used to, and what the huge cast experienced on Season 50.
But rumors have indicated that Season 51 tried out a two-tribe format to kick things off. That rumor has been met with many cheers from the fans. It opens the game up quite a bit, allowing for more alliances and not just six people relying on luck to survive.
“Unfortunately it looks like Survivor 52 is back to three tribes (but at least it’s a new color scheme),” reads an Instagram Story with an image from Fiji.
Indeed, it appears they have a lighter color scheme for the upcoming season, but they returned to the three-tribe format. Maybe, just maybe, it’s just a three-team challenge? Or maybe that’s just us trying to keep hope alive of consecutive seasons with only two tribes.
