Survivor showmances have added an extra layer to the reality competition show. Many couples have met because of the show, with some staying together for years.
But not every couple lasts. Some of the Survivor showmances have fizzled out. It’s an unfortunate byproduct of reality TV.
Of course, the first Survivor showmance most fans think of is Boston Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich. They turned a Season 8 alliance into a post-show romance.
All these years later, Amber and Rob have each won Survivor, but they have also won in life. The couple is happily married with four daughters (Lucia, Carina, Isabetta, and Adelina). The duo has set the standard for reality TV showmances and has even been on The Amazing Race together.
What Survivor showmances are still together?
Below is a list of the couples who have stayed together. They either met on the show or at functions associated with the show. Some of them have stayed out of the spotlight, possibly helping their relationships in the long run.
- Alex Bell and Kim Powers: Met on Survivor: The Amazon. Married with an adopted daughter.
- Austin Li Coon and Amanda Probst: Austin was on Season 45. Amanda is Jeff Probst’s niece. Dating for two years.
- Boston Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich: Met on Season 8. Married with four kids.
- Elizabeth Beisel and Jack Nichting: Met on Survivor: Island of the Idols. Currently engaged.
- Erik Huffman and Jaime Dugan-Huffman: Met on Survivor: China. Married with a son.
- Frannie Marin and Matthew Blankinship: Met on Season 44. Still dating.
- Jaclyn Schultz and Jon Misch: Met on Survivor: San Juan del Sur. Married with a son.
- Joe Anglim and Sierra Dawn Thomas: Met on Survivor: World’s Apart. Married with a son and a daughter.
- Katurah Topps and Sabiyah Broderick: Met on Survivor 45. Currently dating.
- Tyson Apostol and Rachel Foulger: Competed on Survivor: Blood vs Water together. Married with two daughters.
- Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson: Met on Survivor: South Pacific. Married with a son.

The show has formed many other couples over the years. Some led to engagements, and others even led to kids.
Even host Jeff Probst has dated a former castaway. After the season in Vanuatu, Jeff reached out to Julie Berry, and the couple began dating. They have since split up.
Some other past relationships that a recent E! Online report mentioned included Ozzy Lusth and Amanda Kimmel; Parvati Shallow and John Fincher (they were married and have a daughter, but have since split); and Michele Fitzgerald and Dean Kowalski.
Michele and Dean were on different seasons, but dated a short time before Michele appeared on The Challenge.
