With Ashley Mitchell back on MTV’s The Challenge, viewers saw the return of “Smashley as she and her castmate got into a heated argument during Vets and New Threats.
In Episode 9, Aneesa Ferreira overheard Ashley talking trash about her to castmates. Basically, Ashley joked about Aneesa thinking she had a chance to even compete in the Season 41 final.
That prompted Aneesa to drop by the room to confront Ashley, asking if she wanted to share anything with her in person.
The two got into a war of words, where Aneesa admitted Ashley’s comments hurt her, including suggesting that she wasn’t physically fit enough to compete with the rookies.
Aneesa was in tears after the heated discussion, and several castmates comforted her. Meanwhile, another fight broke out in another room, involving rookies Gabe Wai and Cedric Hodges.
That didn’t make it into the episode’s final cut, and according to Ashley, there was also much more to her fight with Aneesa than what was in the episode.
Ashley spilled more fight details, including a bold claim about her castmate
Before and after the episode’s airing on MTV, Ashley took to her Snapchat, where she provided additional background to the story. An individual captured some of her video snaps and uploaded them as a video on X.
At the start of the video, Ashley said she was “pretty sure” she would “look like a c***” in the episode, given how “they’ll never show a full fight..only bits and pieces.”
She added that she wasn’t concerned, though, because she had good friends outside of the show and wasn’t letting The Challenge dominate her life.
“I don’t do podcasts and Challenge Manias. I don’t give a f***,” she said.
“If you have any questions, ask me, because I’m gonna tell you the tea that really went down,” she said in her video, adding, “There’s so much I wanna say, but I’m gonna be respectful, if everyone involved is also respectful.”
“I have a lot of things to say that weren’t very nice,” Ashley said.
Ashley said she goes “straight to the pits of hell” with her reactions and responses when someone pushes her buttons.
“Being on Ozempic does not make you in the best shape of your life. Just because you lost a lot of weight due to Ozempic does not make you in the best shape of her life. She was taking Ozempic on the show. She had to have it refrigerated,” Ashley claimed, seeming to suggest Aneesa was the one using it.
“Don’t f*** with me, baby. I know too much, and that’s the beginning of what I know,” she said in the video.
She reiterated that “just because you’re skinnier does not make you in shape.”
“I was skinny as f*** on that show. Do I think I was in shape? No,” she said.
Ashley and Aneesa’s rivalry continues on The Challenge
After getting kicked off The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies, viewers saw Ashley “Millionaire” Mitchell return to The Challenge for the All Stars spinoff. Season 5 was Rivals, with Ashley teaming up with Aneesa due to their previous issues on the show.
The two got into a heated argument during All Stars 5, where Aneesa mocked Ashley’s southern accent, and Ashley snapped at her. Eventually, they set aside their differences to try to get on the same page.
However, they only lasted until Episode 4, when they entered the elimination round, where Adam Larson and Steve Meinke eliminated them from the game.
Ashley wasn’t part of The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, which featured Aneesa. However, it appears their issues carried over to Season 41, with the recent blowup clear evidence that they have trouble coexisting on the show.
They’ll head into Episode 10 after a twist where everyone got paired with the person who will be their partner for the remainder of the season. Ashley is teamed up with rookie castmate Leo Dionicio, while Aneesa is teamed with rookie Jake Cornish.
The Challenge: Vets and New Threats airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on MTV.
