That’s a wrap on Survivor 50. We finally learned the winner on Wednesday night.
It was a hard-fought season, with 24 former players returning for another shot at glory.
As we hypothesized here at Tea on TV, a twist happened that helped raise the cash prize to $2 million.
Thanks to MrBeast’s participation, the winner got a prize higher than any season other than Survivor 40: Winners at War.
What happened on the Survivor 50 season finale?
The Survivor 50 season finale mixed footage from Fiji with a “live” presentation in Los Angeles.
Aubry Bracco, Tiffany Ervin, Joe Hunter, Rizo Velovic, and Jonathan Young made it to the final five.
The new episode began with them chatting at camp, and the trio of Joe, Rizo, and Jonathan pledging their allegiance to each other.
It was then time to play in the Immunity Challenge that would decide the final four players.
Jonathan won an extensive challenge to secure Immunity. He was guaranteed a final-four spot.
Tiffany was voted out, 4-1 (she voted for Aubry). That left only four players in the game. Yes, Rizo finally played his Immunity Idol (for himself).
Aubry then won the final-four challenge. She stole the power from the trio of guys.
Aubry invited Joe to join her in the final three. Jonathan and Rizo had to face off in the Fire-Making Challenge.
Shockingly, host Jeff Probst spoiled the results during a live segment from Los Angeles.
Jeff said that Rizo was the new jury member.
Jonathan later won the Fire-Making Challenge.
Aubry, Joe, and Jonathan made it to the end. A segment then featured their loved ones arriving for a visit in Fiji. It was very touching.
Who won Survivor 50?
Aubry, Jonathan, and Joe had to face the Survivor 50 jury. They argued their cases and defended their gameplay.
Who would the 11-person jury pick as the Survivor 50 winner?
Jeff read the votes in front of the audience.
Aubry Bracco won Survivor 50. Jonathan Young was the first runner-up. Joe Hunter was the second runner-up.
It was an 8-3 vote.
Cirie Fields was named the fan-favorite. She got a $100,000 prize from singer Sia.
