Big Brother 28 debuts in less than a month, and the new season is going to set some television history.
Long-time host Julie Chen Moonves dropped some knowledge on fans as she celebrated how close we are to the new season.
As a reminder, the BB28 season debuts July 9 on CBS. It’s so close, and still seems so far away, all at the same time.
“Hey Big Brother fans!” Julie stated at the intro of a new Instagram video. It already has fans buzzing.

“1 MONTH TIL #BB28 … are you ready for our 1,000th episode to air this summer ?? 😁😁,” Julie captioned a new Instagram video.
“We are only weeks away from BB28,” Julie excitedly states as the video begins. “I’m so excited!”
“But first,” Julie added. “Did you also know that we are making history this summer? We are having our 1,000th episode. And I don’t think any primetime show in the history of television has ever had that. At least not to my knowledge… I’m sticking with it.”
Indeed, at some point this summer, Big Brother will reach its 1,000th episode as a franchise. That’s huge. We definitely expect CBS to promote it in a big way as the day gets closer.
Julie’s post has already received comments from many alumni.

“1000 is such a flex. Can’t wait 🥹❤️,” wrote BB26 winner, Chelsie Baham.

So, are you ready for the new season? The opening episode is 90 minutes long, and Wednesday night installments are 90 minutes all summer.
