Chicago Fire spoilers reveal some rough news for fans. Another fan-favorite character is leaving the firehouse.
This will be hard on viewers when Season 15 arrives in the fall. But at least the show is returning?
We get new episodes of the One Chicago shows this fall. New content is airing Wednesday nights on NBC.
Show exits have become familiar territory to One Chicago fans, but now we are about to lose an original character.
Joe Minoso is ending his run as Joe Cruz on the Chicago Fire cast
It’s a wrap for actor Joe Minoso. His run as Firefighter Joe Cruz ends early in Chicago Fire Season 15.
Cruz has been an important part of the show since the pilot aired in 2012. Recent storylines heavily hinted that he might be done at Firehouse 51, but now the rumors have been confirmed.
According to Deadline, Cruz will appear in a “handful of episodes” at the start of the new season of Chicago Fire.
This should allow the writers and Minoso to wrap up all the important storylines regarding Cruz.
As a reminder, Joe Cruz’s wife is expecting twins. It was a shocking revelation during the Season 14 finale. This will give their family four kids, and Cruz was very nervous about the news.
Hopefully, the growing family will get a nice landing and a happy ending from the writers.
We also hope that Cruz survives that huge fire that Firehouse 51 was dealing with during the season finale. The roof was caving in on the people inside. There was also a fireball outside that engulfed the folks working on the roof.
Will everyone survive the call? Make sure to tune in to find out this fall.
As a reminder, all previous episodes of the One Chicago shows are streaming on Peacock. It might be worth revisiting the finale for Chicago Fire Season 14 ahead of the show’s return. That was episode 14×21.
