Below Deck star Barbara Kulaif revealed it was her birthday when Season 12 of the hit yachting show was filming.
Although her fellow crew members and production went all out for her big day, the footage never made it to air.
Taking to Instagram, Barbara shared a video of the crew surprising her with a little party that included cake and singing.
The stew seemed a bit shy or embarrassed as she hugged Fraser Olender before blowing out the candles.
A flip of the scene featured someone singing to Barbara during Carnival in Saint Martin, and Barbara opening her birthday gift from her fellow crew members.
The celebration video, set to Gigi Perez’s Sailor Song, involved champagne that Barbar chugged on her birthday.

“In April 2024, I had the best birthday of my life, even though I was far from home and my friends,” she began her lengthy caption.
The stew added, “I felt truly loved and celebrated by the entire crew and production team. From the producers to the camera crew, to the sound team — everyone made it special.”
Barbara couldn’t end her message without letting fans know the footage didn’t make the season. In fact, the episode in which it would have been featured has already aired, so she wanted fans to know what the crew did for her.
“This moment wasn’t shown on the last episodes, but I wanted to share it with you: even though the guests weren’t exactly the best, I had one of the most meaningful birthdays I’ve had in years. Thank you, @belowdeckbravo family 💙,” Barbara ended her caption.

The comments section featured a couple of Below Deck Season 12 stars chiming in on Barbara’s video. Damo Yorg popped in to show his love for Barbara, writing, “I love you gatinhaaaaaa!!”
Barbara’s fellow stews Rainbeau de Roos and Solene Favreau also had some words for her.
“Love this and you ❤️,” wrote Rainbeau, while Solene said, “Love you Barbara ✨🫶🏽 miss you 🖤.”
