Below Deck’s Captain Kerry Titheradge reveals how the show has changed him

Captain Kerry Titheradge joined the Below Deck family as the captain on Below Deck Adventure in 2022.

One year later, he was at the helm of the show that started it all.

Season 11 of Below Deck saw Captain Kerry take over the reins from Captain Lee Rosbach.

Now back for his third stint in the franchise on Below Deck Season 12, Captain Kerry revealed how the show changed him.

“I’m in a unique position where I can take a good, hard look at myself. Where I can see myself on camera, and how I talk to people, and how I interact, and what happens to that person once they leave the wheelhouse after I have had a chat with them,” he shared while speaking with Decider.

The captain went on to explain, “It’s given me an insight on how powerful my words mean to people. So I gotta be more careful in how I talk to people and in also how I can support them to do better.”

Despite his supportive nature, Captain Kerry isn’t a pushover at all. Below Deck fans have watched him call out crew members who aren’t pulling their weight.

Season 12 of the hit yachting show already saw Bosun Caio Poltronieri get fired. As Tea on TV reported, the mid-season trailer featured Captain Kerry threatening to make more changes before the season ends.

The footage also hints that Kyle Stille slept with a married charter guest. Captain Kerry hears out the deckhand, while also making it clear he won’t tolerate that kind of behavior.

One fan on X said it best about Captain Kerry’s nature when sharing thoughts on Season 12, writing,  “Captain Kerry does not play!”

There is still plenty of the season to play out and plenty more for Below Deck fans to learn about Captain Kerry. Make sure to keep watching as the drama heats up on the hit yachting franchise.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.
