Daisy Kelliher talks leaving Below Deck Sailing Yacht for Below Deck Down Under

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fan favorite Daisy Kelliher has left sailing behind for her next stint in the Below Deck franchise.

As Tea on TV reported, Daisy has joined Captain Jason Chambers for Below Deck Down Under Season 4. It was a bit of a shock for Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans, especially as the show’s future remains in limbo.

The chief stew got real about making the change from one show to another.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Daisy Kellier calls show swapping ‘nerve-wracking’

In an interview with Us Weekly that focuses on the success of the Below Deck franchise, Daisy admitted it wasn’t easy swapping shows.

“[Changing boats] was very nerve-wracking. I got very familiar with Parsifal and Capt. Glenn Shephard and to what sailing was all about. [Suddenly, on Down Under it was like,] Oh, can I do this? What’s it going to be like? Am I going to clash with the captain? Can I do a motorboat? I think it was good for me to change and be given a new challenge, but I was certainly very, very nervous,” she shared with the outlet.

Like when she joined Below Deck Sailing Yacht in Season 2, Daisy didn’t reach out to any previous Below Deck Down Under cast members before filming began. Daisy had watched the show before, so she knew kind of what she was walking into.

Daisy had met Captain Jason Chambers before at BravoCon and other events. However, that didn’t make her nerves about working on a new show go away. There’s a big difference between meeting at an event and working together on a yacht.

Fans will have to watch Below Deck Down Under Season 4 to see how Captain Jason and Daisy get along as co-workers.

Other Below Deck stars who appeared on multiple shows

The chief stew isn’t the first Below Deck star to do a little show hopping. Chef Ben Robinson, who will appear with Captain Jason and Daisy on Below Deck Down Under, was also on the OG Below Deck and Below Deck Med.

Chef Adam Glick got his start on Below Deck Med. Despite his better judgment, he returned to reality TV to help launch Below Deck Sailing Yacht, which was the final nail in his reality TV coffin.

Aesha Scott moved up through the ranks on Below Deck Med and Below Deck Down Under. After appearing as a stew on Below Deck Med, Aesha helped launch Below Deck Down Under in the chief stew role.

Now she’s back on Below Deck Med with Captain Sandy Yawn, making it a stellar success!

Daisy will make her Below Deck Down Under premiere early next year. Next up in the Below Deck world is Below Deck Med Season 10, featuring Aesha, Captain Sandy, and Nathan Gallagher.

Below Deck Med Season 10 premieres on Monday, September 29 at 8/7c.
