The Chicago Med cast will look a little different when Season 11 begins. Gone is actress Marlyne Barrett, who has played Nurse Maggie Lockwood for years.
The sad news was that she stepped away from the show due to personal reasons, but the good news is that there is hope that she will return later.
Let’s all think good thoughts for Barrett. She has dealt with some health issues in the past. Hopefully, as Deadline reported, her absence isn’t permanent.
Maggie Lockwood has been an important part of Chicago Med
Chicago Med Season 11 won’t be the same without Maggie. She has been an important part of the show since its premiere season, and she keeps control of the ED each season.
Maggie is typically seen as the person who runs the ED, even though there are several bosses above her. She keeps things running smoothly, so it will be interesting to see what the writers do in the short term.
