Chicago Fire fall finale already upon us, details revealed

The Chicago Fire fall finale has arrived much quicker than fans would prefer. It means we are very close to the long winter hiatus.

Chicago Fire Season 14 airs on Wednesday nights, with a new firefighter making waves on the show. The new blood was needed, but maybe not at the expense of two fan-favorite characters.

Firehouse 51 has had to move on without firefighters Sam Carver and Darren Ritter, giving the show a much different feel this fall. It also meant another annoying moment where Chief Dom Pascal blamed Stella Kidd for not keeping her team together.

But here we are, deep into Season 14 episodes, with too many focusing on missing characters. By now, most fans know that the NBC shows have cut episode counts for the stars. It forces the writers to come up with excuses for why important characters are missing each week.

For instance, during the latest episode, where the paramedics were trying to save a mother while stuck in traffic, Christopher Herrmann and Mouch were missing in action. With the struggles Herrmann has had following his family’s house burning down, it was probably good to give that storyline a breather.

When is the Chicago Fire fall finale?

The Season 14 fall finale for Chicago Fire arrives on Wednesday, November 12. It airs at 9/8c on NBC and marks the beginning of the upcoming winter hiatus.

“Severide investigates a suspicious high school fire; Novak gets an unexpected call; Violet brings a 51 firefighter onboard the ambulance for a shift,” reads the Chicago Fire synopsis for November 12.

We expect that the firefighter working with Paramedic in Charge Violet Mikami (played by Hanako Greensmith) will be Sal Vasquez, the new face at Firehouse 51.

Actor Brandon Larracuente plays Firefighter Sal Vasquez on the Chicago Fire cast. But he has a troubled past due to what’s been happening with his father.

Below is the teaser trailer for Chicago Fire Season 14, Episode 7. The footage features Lyla “Lizzy” Novak (played by Jocelyn Hudon) and teases that we are about to meet her sister.

To catch up on Chicago Fire Season 14 episodes, everything is streaming on Peacock.

More news from the One Chicago shows

Rumors about Jason Beghe leaving Chicago P.D. were addressed. As reported by Tea on TV, he has been an important cog in the One Chicago universe. The show wouldn’t be the same without Hank Voight.

But a Chicago P.D. star has already left the show. We hope the leave of absence doesn’t become permanent.

Chicago Med almost killed off a main character. One of its stars told an intriguing story about how a plot changed. It sheds some interesting light on things behind the scenes.
