Huge rumors about The Challenge hit social media recently, leading many fans to believe that the show was set to have a new host.
The rumors stated that long-time host TJ Lavin was out, and that Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves would replace him.
It even linked Julie to the cast of The Challenge 42. Those folks will appear on an upcoming season of the successful reality competition show.
As previously reported by Tea on TV, several big names were not invited back for The Challenge 42.
As for the hosting rumors, they caused many upset Challenge fans to flood social media with their thoughts.

Let’s get down to the point before addressing the rumors. TJ Lavin is still the host of The Challenge. Julie Chen Moonves is not taking over the show. She seems content with her work on Big Brother and her social media endeavors.
But what got the rumors going? Someone found it funny to create a fake story. And then other people ran with that story. The fictional tale about Julie replacing TJ even cited TMZ as its source. But none of it was real.
“This would be the end of the challenge…. Not only losing TJ Lavin, who is the best reality host of all time, but replacement would be Julie (fake as F)Chen …stick a fork in it it’s over if this is the case…. CBS destroyed the challenge,” wrote one infuriated fan.
“If this is true..I’m done with bb…and the challenge. Julie has been ruining bb along with the producers for years,” another fan reacted to the online rumors.
“Dudeeeeee I love Julie. But as a bb host. Tj is the beat host for the challenge & the longest running on at that. The challenge would not be the same without him,” wrote someone else.
Many fans stated that they would stop watching The Challenge if changes were made.
“If @tjlavin isn’t hosting @TheChallenge anymore I’m out just like the OG’S he is the challenge I really hope this is a rumor because no offense to Julie but no if they do a new host which they shouldn’t but if so they need to keep in the Challenge family,” wrote a frustrated fan.
Despite the continued social media rumors, even after the story was refuted, fans continue to post how upset they would be if TJ Lavin were replaced. Well, rest easy, because this was all a hoax. We should see TJ returning very soon when The Challenge 42 episodes arrive.
