Jessa Duggar shares new birthday tradition

Jessa Duggar doesn’t bake cakes from scratch, and she made it known.

The former Counting On star and her husband, Ben Seewald, celebrated their son George’s second birthday.

The couple shares six children — four boys and two girls. George is the second youngest, with his brother, Edward, being born in July.

She and Ben are the second couple of the Duggar siblings to have a big family. Ahead of them are Josh and Anna Duggar with their seven child.

However, Jessa could easily pass them if she and Ben welcome two more children in the coming years.

With six kids, making birthday specials has become a theme for the family. This time, though, Jessa had a new tradition to celebrate George.

Jessa Duggar celebrated George

On Instagram, Jessa Duggar shared a photo of George in his highchair, enjoying a put-together breakfast. It was a fancier day than usual, which is why the social media influencer shared it with her followers.

She captioned the share, “A two-rrific start to George’s bday! I don’t bake cakes from scratch, but this year we started a fun, new tradition— birthday pancakes!”

Interestingly enough, Jessa mentioned that she did not bake cakes from scratch. Coming from a family where they made everything instead of buying premade options, it’s a bit of a shock. However, the birthday pancakes are likely to be a bigger hit with her kids, especially if she does the fancy plate work as she did for George.

What have the Duggars been up to since Counting On?

Counting On was officially canceled in 2021, marking the end of the Duggars’ run on TLC. This was the second iteration of the show, titled initially 19 Kids and Counting.

Jessa Duggar and her siblings took over when the show was canceled the first time. She had Jill Duggar headlined the first few seasons of the new version, which was titled Jill & Jessa: Counting On. When Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, walked away, it was branded as Counting On moving forward.

She carried the show, highlighting the births of her children and her relationships with her sisters and sisters-in-law. Viewers saw more of the Duggar boys and their wives as they began forming their own families.

However, once the network canceled Counting On, only a few of the Duggar siblings remained overly active on social media and continue to be in the public eye. Jessa posts semi-regularly, but Jinger Duggar and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, have used their fame to build their podcast and remain active online. Abbie Grace Duggar, Joy Anna Duggar, Jana Duggar, Katey Duggar, and others have remained engaged with fans through social media, often sharing photos of their get-togethers.
