A new episode of Chicago Fire will treat fans to a mini-crossover. While it’s not the full event treatment that many One Chicago fans love, it will nonetheless be an interesting night.
For a quick recap, it’s messy at Firehouse 51. During a recent episode, Mouch learned he lost his spot at the firehouse. This was the unfortunate consequence of trying to save his job.
The mayor’s office pushed for Engine 51 to be taken offline and for its crew to be jetosined. This meant Mouch would lose his job. But Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) did everything he could to save Mouch.
Unfortunately, Pascal has angered Annette Davis, the mayor’s Chief of Staff. That could lead to more drama down the line with the new character played by actress Annabeth Gish.
Get ready for a fun mini-crossover on Chicago Fire
The January 21 episode of Chicago Fire will feature a guest star from Chicago Med. Early promotional material features Dr. John Frost (played by Darren Barnet) showing up at the firehouse.
There have been heavy hints about a romantic relationship between Dr. Frost and Paramedic Lyla Novak. Now we may get some conversation between the duo.
“Novak explores a new romantic connection. Vasquez deals with the aftermath of his father’s recent release,” reads the episode synopsis for Carry A Torch.
There are no teasers about what happened to Mouch or what we can expect from his storyline. It’s also safe to assume we will learn more about the situation with Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo). They just lost their foster kid to a friend of the boy’s family. It could have a lasting impact on their relationship.
We also don’t know what’s up with Tom Van Meter. Will he survive the arson incident? Stay tuned!
Below is the Chicago Fire Season 14, Episode 10 promo. It does feature Novak and Frost, confirming that their relationship has advanced beyond simple flirting. Could this also lead to more appearances by Novak in Chicago Med episodes down the line? We shall see!
