Another Survivor 49 player confirms cheating, unfair gameplay

The Survivor 49 cheating scandal has a new chapter. Now, another player is claiming that cheating occurred among the players.

As previously reported by Tea on TV, Sage Ahrens-Nichols teased that she had information about cheating in Fiji. It was shocking news after a fun season that saw Savannah Louie win.

Fans were left to guess about who Sage was talking about. And boy, did the accusations fly on social media.

Later, Sage revealed the people she accused of cheating. She also added that at least six people were involved in the schemes.

Now, someone has come forward to provide more context. And they also confirmed that Sage was telling the truth.

The Survivor 49 cheating scandal has another accuser

Kimberly “Annie” Davis claims that some people had an unfair advantage at the beginning of Survivor 49. She said as much during a new episode of the Beyond the Edit podcast.

First, Annie spoke about how much she loves Survivor. She also noted the impact the show has had on television. This was before she got honest about her experiences.

As a reminder, Annie was on the disastrous Kele tribe. They lost four members before any other tribe even lost one. This is also the tribe that has been enveloped by controversy.

Sage accused Jake Latimer and Sophi Balerdi of cheating by conversing and strategizing with other cast members before the season began. Sage also states that at least six people cheated.

Annie touched on that early in the podcast.

Annie speaks about cheating on Survivor 49

“I was surprised and a little disappointed with some of the pre-game stuff that happened at Ponderosa that, you know, Sage has, she’s talked about some of this stuff from her own story and her own vision and her own perspective, and I just felt like it was important to contribute to the conversation,” Annie stated.

“To me, what I’ve seen out there in response to what Sage’s experience was, is that there are some fans out there who don’t really understand why maybe pre-gaming is bad. Or, ‘isn’t this just what every season does?’ And I don’t know. I’ve never been on any other season,” she added.

Later, Annie said that people weren’t following the rules laid out for them, and she said that the relationships created before the game started were unfair.

Lauren Beck (she was on Survivor 39) added to the conversation, stating that she saw no pre-gaming on her season. And she echoed how Survivor 49 was much different. Lauren also explained how pre-gaming is when people secretly plan, discuss, and strategize what to do when the game begins.

Annie spoke about trying to play it off in her mind (at the time) that pre-gaming wouldn’t impact the game, but she later came to accept that the people who broke the rules did have an unfair advantage.

Annie confirmed almost everything Sage stated, but held back from naming any names. She also says none of it should be happening, while also explaining that she saw daily cheating when the producers weren’t watching.

Below is the full podcast. It gave much-needed credence to everything Sage previously revealed.
