We’re only a few episodes deep for The Challenge: Vets and New Threats, but the rookies are already serving up drama and tea!
Blue Kim is among the newcomers and seems to have become one of the early stars from the Season 41 rookie additions.
She debuted on Big Brother, where viewers also saw America Lopez, who is now a castmate of Blue’s on The Challenge.
In just a few episodes, Blue has garnered considerable fan praise and attention for being genuine and not letting others overshadow her.
In the second episode of the new season, she was in the spotlight due to the circumstances.
Spoilers will follow for Episode 2, with Blue sharing some details about unaired occurrences, including a fight.
Blue spilled tea on her castmates’ unaired fight
In key scenes during the second episode, viewers learned that rookie Will Gagnon from Are You the One? 9 hooked up with rookie Dee Valladares from Survivor.
According to Will’s remarks, they hooked up at the hotel before filming for The Challenge Season 41.
Meanwhile, Johnny Bananas and Dee launched a showmance from the special Day Zero episode, and it’s continued through the first several episodes. That included Bananas and Dee becoming partners for the first challenge.
In Episode 2, viewers saw Will become emotional about seeing Dee with Bananas. Will seemed to believe that Dee was playing a game with him. After the cast’s night out, Will told castmates he was upset about Dee, which included him crying and punching a wall.
Footage also showed him upset while riding the bus home at night after the club outing, but it didn’t show all of the drama from the bus ride.
Blue revealed on her official X account that a fight erupted “outta nowhere” involving “drunk” Will and fellow rookie Gabriel Wai.
“i was in the back just screaming ‘OHANA MEANS FAMILY AND THAT MEANS NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND,'” Blue said in her X message.
It was another example of unaired footage that may or may not have added to the episode’s entertainment value. Earlier this week, The Challenge shared an unaired clip of Cara Maria Sorbello and Turbo Camkiran, in which they called out Bananas’ game.
In another X message, she called out Will, indicating that their rookie castmate, Dee, didn’t owe him any explanation for her situation with Bananas after they hooked up.
Big Brother star teamed with different veteran partners on The Challenge
At the start of the episode, viewers learned who the new teams would be, based on host TJ Lavin’s twist. Each episode would feature new rookie-veteran pairs, and the selection process was based on winners, culminating in the last place finisher.
Four-time Challenge winner Derrick Kosinski became Blue’s new veteran teammate after she previously teamed up with Derek Chavez.
Rookie Adrienne Naylor was in last place the week before and sat out the daily challenge. However, she was still up for the women’s elimination later.
Blue and Derrick finished last in the daily since they couldn’t figure out the puzzle. That meant Blue was automatically in the elimination. The daily challenge winners were Turbo Camkiran and Leka, who received the power to add another potential elimination team.
What happened to Blue in Episode 2?
Blue’s options were Adrienne and Taylor. She requested to battle Taylor, believing she was quicker than her. However, their elimination involved a five-round event similar to Balls In. However, competitors had their hands tied in front of them and had to fight to touch laser beams.
These lasers beamed down from above and random spots in the circle. The competitor on offense had to touch as many beams as possible in the round. Although Blue Kim started strong, she then lost steam as the rounds continued, resulting in her elimination.
On her official X account, she posted throughout the episode. That included telling fans that the elimination went the complete five rounds. Only three made it into the episode.
She also said she wasn’t upset about leaving so early in her debut on The Challenge.
“it’s okay babes i got more promo + screen time in my 3 episodes than these other b****es,” she wrote.
In another message, she told fans, “I STILL GOT MY GIRLS THO 🍒 SO WHO’S THE REAL WINNER HERE LMAOOOO.”
The Challenge: Vets and New Threats airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on MTV.
