Corey Feldman breaks silence after DWTS elimination, calls out ‘false narrative’

Corey Feldman was one of the two dancers sent home in part of the double elimination in week 2 of Dancing with the Stars. The end of his run came after a cringey Cha-Cha to Sir Mix-a-Lot’s I Like Big Butts on One Hit Wonders Night. And also after he complained about his previously low scores and shared his hopes to get higher scores going forward.

Instead of higher scores, the DWTS voters and judges put everyone out of their misery by sending Corey home. The not-so-shocking elimination elicited some sighs of relief on social media, as viewers sounded off after the show.

Corey Feldman accused of being ‘difficult’ on Dancing with the Stars

We can imagine that Jenna felt some relief, too, after Daily Mail interviewed her brother-in-law and DWTS Maks Chmerkovskiy, who claimed that Corey was making this season “really difficult” for her.

“All the cast show up, you know, all smiles and say how great they are together and ‘we’re friends’…but that’s surface. Sometimes it’s not the case,” Maks explained.

He continued, “Obviously, Jenna has a bit of an uphill climb with Corey. From the outside, it might look easy to joke about, but I know she’s having a much more difficult time with this entire thing … We’re talking about a reigning champ here, put some respect on the name, everybody.”

That seems plausible since Jenna herself claimed she hadn’t seen Corey in days after a fan asked where their pre-show TikToks and Instagram videos from rehearsal were. Other dancing pairs were posting up all kinds of teasers as they rehearsed, but before Season 34 started, there wasn’t much of Corey and Jenna on social media.

When a fan asked about the missing posts, Jenna responded, telling them she hadn’t seen Corey since Good Morning America, several days before. No explanation was given for his absence, but obviously, he returned to practice after that because he and Jenna danced on premiere night and then a week later.

Gorey Feldman calls out ‘false narrative’ after DWTS elimination

After their elimination, Jenna Johnson posted a montage of moments with Corey Feldman from Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. The Instagram carousel featured photos and videos from rehearsals and from the two episodes they appeared on.

Corey, who has been relatively quiet since he was sent hom on DWTS, shared a message in the comments section of Jenna’s post.

The Goonies star wrote, “hank U Jenna! U were an absolute joy to work with. Im so sorry for any negativity the media is using to give the false narrative that our time together was anything less than enjoyable. And U know as well as i do that i was there 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks, doing everything in my power to give U my best, even if the judges couldnt see it. God Bless your family. Keep dancing the dream. ❤️🙌”

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC.
