Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi rose to fame over 15 years ago as an unhinged and spontaneous reality TV star on MTV’s Jersey Shore.
Everyone recalls her famous fights and “Where’s the beach?” arrest highlights from the popular show, which aired six seasons and ran until 2012.
Over the years, Snooki continued to appear in reality TV spinoffs based on the initial concept, including Snooki & JWoww and Family Vacation.
Many consider her an iconic reality TV star today, although she has mellowed out somewhat now that she has a husband and family.
However, Snooki is still appearing on reality TV in the eighth season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Castmates include Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, and Angelina Pivarnick.
And based on a recent sighting away from the United States, it appears that at least Snooki is participating in another Jersey Shore spinoff.
Footage shows Snooki filming for a new spinoff
A photo appeared over a week ago, showing that Snooki had flown from the United States to Kelowna, Canada. In the image, the MTV star is at an airport, wearing black sunglasses, a low-cut top, and an animal-print skirt, as she stands next to a pink suitcase.
In recent video footage, the Jersey Shore star is spotted out and about in Kelowna, apparently during filming.
In the clip, a woman is speaking with a group of people outdoors, with loud music playing in the background and a cameraperson filming. The woman, who bears a striking resemblance to Snooki, walks away from the group toward a building.
“That’s totally Snooki,” someone says off-camera in the 14-second clip.
What is the new Shore spinoff show in Canada?
In April, the Toronto Sun reported that Paramount+ casting was underway for a new spinoff based on MTV’s Jersey Shore.
Their report indicated the show sought individuals ages 19 to 26 who were “fresh-faced, unapologetically wild Canadian singletons” to create “one big, imperfect family.”
Reports also suggested that filming would begin this summer. The newest show’s working title is Canada Shore.
There have been multiple international Jersey Shore spinoffs over the years, including Geordie Shore, Warsaw Shore, Buckhead Shore, Frenchie Shore, and Aussie Shore.
All-Star Shore premiered several years ago and has featured some of the cast members from MTV’s Jersey Shore, including Vinny Guadagnino.
Several cast members from various Shore spinoffs also crossed over to other reality TV shows. MTV’s The Challenge featured several, including Geordie Shore’s Kyle Christie and Floribama Shore’s Mattie Lynn Breaux.
As of this writing, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 8 is airing in the United States after premiering on May 29. Snooki appears in the main cast, and it seems she’ll at least have a guest role in the forthcoming Canadian spinoff.
