This was thanks to the fans, who clamored and demanded a return to the Old School ways. Thankfully, the producers let the fans vote on bringing it back.
After billing this as a season for the fans, the producers have a high bar to reach. Hopefully, the Survivor 50 cast is up to the task.
As a reminder, the Survivor 50 season premiere will air on Wednesday, February 25. It’s a huge event for CBS.

When is the Survivor 50 Live Reunion Show?
The Survivor 50 finale and Live Reunion Show are scheduled for Wednesday, May 20. It’s a big return to the Los Angeles stage. Rather than Jeff reading the votes in Fiji and serving up some pizza, everything gets transported back to the States.
Hidden within this information is that the Survivor 50 winner has not been revealed. Even the players don’t know who won. The $1 million prize is shrouded in mystery, and that’s how the producers should always do it.
This also prevents spoilers. It keeps everyone quiet until the big finale night. When the Survivor 49 results leaked, it took away some of the intrigue. Still, it was an exciting final few episodes.
