Survivor 50 has already revealed that Mr. Beast will make an appearance.
It’s likely part of a later twist, much like how Zac Brown appeared as a reward.
For anyone who doesn’t know him, Mr. Beast is a YouTube celebrity known for giving away money.
His channel features videos where people are competing for money in difficult challenges.
On the second season of Beast Games (his reality competition show), Survivor host Jeff Probst popped up to help host a challenge.
Now, Mr. Beast will be on Survivor, and here at Tea on TV, we have some theories about his appearance.
Why is Mr. Beast on Survivor?
Having Mr. Beast appear on the show is a way to attract younger viewers. And it’s possible to do it without taking anything away from Survivor.
Many twists and turns were teased in the early Survivor 50 promos. That included the Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol, Zac Brown’s appearance, and Jimmy Fallon somehow impacting the game. But we also saw a Mr. Beast coin floating through the air.
Later, Mr. Beast arrives with a briefcase. The briefcases are a familiar thing from his videos.
Maybe Mr. Beast is there to host a challenge where someone can win the coin.
The coin is very important in Beast Games. When the moment arrives, the person who flips it can double the prize pool. Is this why the show has seemed quiet about how much the Survivor 50 cast is playing for? Maybe!
Below is the first look promo for anyone who wants a refresher.
We also haven’t seen Jeff participate in a challenge yet. The promo features it, though. Could that also be tied to the Mr. Beast appearance?
There’s also another important anecdote. On Beast Games, someone volunteers to flip that Mr. Beast coin. If they call it correctly, the prize pool doubles. But a bad flip eliminates that player. Would Survivor put someone’s game at risk like that?
Stay tuned. Many more interesting episodes are ahead. As a reminder, Survivor 50 airs Wednesday nights at 8/7c on CBS. Previous episodes are streaming on Paramount+.
