The Challenge’s CT Tamburello shares cryptic message about his MTV future

Many fans believe that more stars make up The Challenge beyond Johnny Bananas, including icons like his castmate, Chris “CT” Tamburello.

CT has had many memorable moments throughout his reality TV history, including multiple fights and angry tirades, and of course, the Bananas backpack highlight.

He has also won the second-most seasons of The Challenge, behind Bananas, capturing five seasons throughout his career.

However, recent seasons have seen an older and out-of-shape version of CT show up to compete, surprising fans.

That’s particularly true with Season 40, aka Vets and New Threats, where younger castmates are outshining the veteran stars.

CT recently shared a message teasing his future with the competition show, which could be a problem.

The Challenge star CT’s cryptic message to fans

Taking to Instagram on Monday, CT uploaded a video selfie as he drove in his car, listening to a remix of a Notorious B.I.G. song.

The rap lyrics were BIG’s song SuiBIG’s Thoughts. However, the background track was Kanye West’s Runaway.

The Challenge champ continually looked toward the camera after various lines in the song. However, his caption featured an interesting line of his own about the MTV show.

“All my life I been considered as the worst…,” he wrote, as part of the rap lyrics.

“…better hope they don’t let me on 42,” he included in his caption.

“You’re the only reason I still watch the challenge 27 years later 🤣,” one fan wrote in the IG comments.

Another said, “We don’t want a season WITHOUT CT ❤️.”

“Let’s lock in and get you back in that winning mode you know where we at now ! Come through big dawg 💪🏼,” a fan commented.

CT continues to appear in The Challenge at 45

CT currently appears in MTV’s Season 41, with Vets and New Threats his 21st season of the competition series.

The former Real World: Paris star has appeared in three consecutive seasons, although his Season 39 appearance was merely as a mercenary competing against a younger competitor.

His recent remarks seem to show a determination to return to The Challenge, ready to take down the competition. He may also be hitting the gym to work on his fitness.

Earlier this month, he shared a photo of himself with a group of individuals following a “Hills and Drills” workout.

In Season 41, CT has attempted to win daily challenges with his younger rookie teammates, but has been unable to do so. Among his partners so far were America Lopez and Adrienne Naylor.

Despite that, he’s remained safe enough from eliminations thus far, and hasn’t really made any waves with castmates.

As seen in the trailer for Vets and New Threats, his castmate, Turbo Camkiran, calls him out as a “lazy fata**” during a heated altercation, and suggests CT just showed up for a paycheck rather than genuinely wanting to be there.

It’s unclear how much the situation escalated between CT and Turbo in that incident. However, Turbo and the new threats have looked quite impressive through four episodes of Season 41. Meanwhile, CT has seemed like more of a spokesperson for the show, with fans wondering if he has passed his heyday.

The Challenge: Vets and New Threats airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on MTV.
