The Challenge returns with an exciting Season 41 and an intriguing trailer has officially arrived!
In the recently-released footage, fans are seeing the cast members in action, including fan-favorites Ashley “Millionaire” Mitchell, Johnny Bananas, Cara Maria Sorbello, Chris “CT” Tamburello, and Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran.
Season 41 is known as Vets and New Threats, and those new threats are a crew of athletic and savvy rookies looking to turn the game upside down.
However, this version of the game isn’t rookies versus veterans. Instead, it will be pairs of players featuring one rookie with one veteran.
The trailer offers some awfully interesting glimpses at what’s to come in a season that fans hope packs in drama along with intense competitions.
That includes what appears to be CT and Turbo potentially getting into it, and host TJ Lavin calling out cast members for something rarely seen on The Challenge!
The Challenge 41 trailer offers surprising teases from new season
Appropriately, a rendition of the song Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better) plays as an eery theme behind all the crazy Season 41 trailer footage.
In that footage, tears are spilled, injuries occur, plotting goes down, and words are had between players.
TJ narrates the trailer, explaining that the “Vets wrote the playbook” as various veteran competitors pose for the camera. We see Bananas, Cara, Leroy Garrett, Olivia Kaiser, Theo Campbell, Aneesa Ferreira, and CT.
Our familiar host then introduces the “new threats” in the game. Some of the individuals presented on-screen include Big Brother stars Blue Kim, Cedric Hodges, and America Lopez. There’s also Survivor stars, including Dianelys “Dee” Valladares and Sydney Segal, and Amazing Race’s Yeremi Hykel.
This won’t be anything like Battle of the Eras, which had absolutely no rookies in the cast. That’s because Season 41 is launching a brand new era.
There are some interesting teases in that trailer, especially seeing Turbo and CT both yelling. These two have done seasons together before, but never really went head-to-head in an altercation.
It’s always possible these are two different scenes put back-to-back in the trailer, but this could be the sort of drama fans are waiting to see from the vets on the reality competition show.
Along with that, we see some shots of cast members competing hard, some suffering a potential injury, and a few rookies scheming to win.
Last but not least, there’s a jawdropping moment as TJ says the thing he hates more than quitters is “cheaters.” Will this lead to players getting penalized, or possibly kicked off the show? That’s a rarity in The Challenge universe.
Who’s in the Vets and New Threats cast?
Based on the trailer scenes, TJ will certainly have his hands full with this Season 41 cast. Everyone looks calm but ready to compete in the cast photo below, with vets on the left and rookies on the right.
The new threats are the rookie players who come from a variety of reality TV and other backgrounds, including Big Brother, Amazing Race, and Survivor. There are also rookies from newer reality shows, including Netflix’s Cheer and Married at First Sight, UK edition.
Two rookies come from backgrounds as boxing commentators or aspiring WWE stars, making this quite the group!
