Kelly and Mark are a long-time married couple who occasionally get on each other’s nerves, according to a recent host chat on LIVE.
Kelly, who has seen several co-hosts during her time on LIVE, now sits next to her husband each weekday despite the strain that could put on their marriage.
Mark widely shared his hesitancy about joining Kelly as her permanent co-host and the problems it could bring to their marriage.
While fans of the show know that all seems great between Kelly and Mark and their marriage, sometimes they want to vent about each other, allowing them to let off some steam.
A recent host chat between the popular stars revealed that Mark occasionally gets on Kelly’s nerves, causing her to want to “scream” at him.
Kelly reveals why Mark makes her want to ‘scream’
A recent topic on the show was “aloneness” and the importance of having time alone to destress and regroup emotionally.
Kelly and Mark both shared that they love having alone time, even when they’re apart, especially since they spend so much time together on the show.
“I love alone time,” Kelly shared before Mark jumped in and said, “Me too!”
Kelly went on to share that she was talking backstage to her crew and revealed, “I was saying backstage, sometimes when I am enjoying my alone time and you come into the room, I want to scream.”
Mark looked at Kelly and said, “Seriously?”
“I feel like you’ve interrupted my alone time because your alone time is done,” Kelly finished explaining.
Kelly shared that she would add “Kelly alone time” to the family schedule so Mark would know not to interrupt that sacred time.
Even though Kelly shared that she gets annoyed with Mark bursting in on her and her alone time, Mark was still sweet enough to remember her on a special occasion.

Kelly Ripa recently turned 55 on October 2, 2025, and her husband, Mark, did not let the day go by without sending his love to his wife.
Mark shared on Instagram a post with several photos and videos of Kelly throughout the years, while captioning it, “Happy Birthday Sexy!!! I love you.”
