Big Brother 28 debuts soon, and host Julie Chen Moonves is helping to create buzz.
This time, Julie asked the fans for some input on the new season. She also wants us to mark our calendars.
As recently reported by Tea on TV, the BB28 start date and schedule were recently released.
We are a short time away from spying on the BB28 cast through the Big Brother Live Feeds.
Yes, Julie returns as the host, and yes, Big Brother: Unlocked returns as the companion show.
Julie wants fan input ahead of Big Brother 28
Julie popped up on Instagram this week to tease fan involvement with Big Brother 28.
This is familiar territory for CBS, as Survivor 50 allowed fans to vote on many game-impacting details.
It could be really fun if Big Brother fans also got that shot. For now, Julie is asking for social media engagement.
“Who’s ready? MARK YOUR CALENDARS !!” Julie began her Instagram post.
But then she got to the point.
“What are your favorite things from past seasons that you’d love to see in #BB28 👀,” Julie asked.
This opened the door for a wide range of responses, including a few alumni who are excited about the new season.
“WE ARE SO BACK BABY!!!!” wrote Morgan Pope from BB27.
“Houseguests that go all in!” requested Angela Murray from BB26.
“We’ve BEEN ready,” noted BB26 winner Chelsie Baham.
But then the fans got in on answering Julie’s question.
“Bring back live HOH comps on Thursday night Episodes!!!! Can’t wait for July 9th ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥😍😍😍,” wrote one fan.
The fan is, of course, referring to recent Thursday episodes ending without revealing the new Head of Household. In past seasons, challenges were hosted or at least began before the episode ended. But BB27 taped most of them to air during Sunday night episodes.
“The Key Wheel,” another fan responded.
The Key Wheel is from Old School Big Brother, where everyone’s house key is put in a wheel to be used during the Nomination Ceremony. Players would then draw a random key, and the key’s owner would be safe. It was a way to add drama to the HOH’s nominations.
Additional requests from fans include returning players, Pandora’s Box, having Julie play, having fewer influencers, and the return of food competitions.
What do you think the new season should include?
More reality TV news and notes
Survivor 51 has finished filming. The new season will arrive on CBS very soon.
Destination X is returning with more reality TV stars for Season 2. That includes people from Big Brother, Survivor, and Love Island USA.
A new Bravo show reportedly features some ladies from Big Brother. It’s an interesting addition to the reality TV world.

YES, YES, YES on Key Wheel and seeing HoH and Food Comps.
I would like to see NO VETERANS RETURING UNLESS ALL PLAYERS ARE VETERANS!
I know my next idea would cost the show/production more money but here goes…
LET EVERY PLAYER FROM START TO FINISH BE ON THE JURY BUT DO NOT LET THE PLAYERS KNOW THAT UNTIL THEY ARE ALREADY ON THE JURY! Create 2 separate jury houses. 1st jury house would have the people who usually would NOT get to be on the jury and the 2nd one would have all the others. With this model, the players would have NO IDEA to be extra careful in who they cross because EVERYONE they vote out would get a vote on who wins! With the 2 jury house model, jury house #2 would not know about jury house #1 and also would not be able to influence that jury house with truth OR LIES. BUT BOTH juries should see the videos that are usually seen by the jury members when each get out.
Since that might be too expensive for the show to do, they could at least 2 a BIGGER jury than normal and NOT tell the houseguests exactly when jury starts…do NOT tell them UNTIL AFTER VOTING HAPPENS. When it comes to the jury questions, have them written down, have Julie ask them WITHOUT revealing who asked the question (some questions may have to be re-worked a little so the finalists do not figure out who wrote the question)….then the vote happens…. THEN BAM! THE FINALISTS ARE SHOWN THE JURY!
